Nungarin Shire Refuse Site - Access Code Request
This site is to be used by Residents within the Shire of Nungarin to request the current access code for the Nungarin Refuse Site.
Code Holder Responsibilities
Illegal dumping is the unauthorised discharge or abandonment of waste and is an offence under s.49A of the EP Act. On conviction, the offence carries a maximum penalty of $125,000 for corporations and $62,500 for individuals.
The department also investigates littering under the Litter Act 1979. Offences under the Litter Act 1979 carry a maximum penalty of $10,000 for corporations and $5,000 for individuals.
Camera surveillance is in use and offenders not abiding by the EP Act and Litter Act will be prosecuted.
